Learn how to take your troop camping in platform tents or A-frames. Get hands-on experience with propane, butane, white gas stoves, and lanterns. Upon completion, you will receive a card that entitles you to use stoves and lanterns at all Girl Scout campsites.
This course consists of a planning session and an overnight camping trip.

Prerequisites:    Basic Outdoor
Fee:                   $12 for food and supplies - due at planning session in cash
Time:                 3.5 hours of class time and one overnight

Intermediate Outdoor Equivalency
If you have taken Basic Outdoor Training and assumed a leadership role while camping, you may be eligible for the Intermediate Outdoor Equivalency.  Fill out the application and submit to your service unit Outdoor Program Consultant (OPC) or to:
