Learn skills necessary to take your troop/group tent camping at an established campsite, such as a state park, with latrines, fireplaces, tables, and at a site with only fields, woods, and water. You will pitch your own tent, learn compass skills, hike a new trail, and more! You will also gain hands-on experience with camp situations, fire sites, advanced outdoor cooking, site selection and lashing. You will participate in an evening planning session and an overnight campout.
Prerequisites: Basic Outdoor and Intermediate Outdoor
Fee: $14 for food and supplies - due at in-town session in cash
Time: 3.5 hours of class time and one overnight
